That is exactly how I feel at the end of the day. It makes me ask did I live today? If I didn’t I pray tomorrow will come and I will do it better. It’s not easy during these times but I try. Wonderful poem j.
Sometimes it seems the day is long gone but it will return anytime, so the setting sun created the moon aura in the mean time to soak with some another kind of glow. And I think both is needed to harmonize everything...

Beautiful and melancholy soliloquy J... blue gone and just a promise of day somewhere, sometime. We are but dust in the wind. You well-describe the dark days. I know those days. Praying for you and all of us. God bless.

Very well written....this is a perfect example of how black depression can make you feel. I've suffered my whole life with depression off and on. I do believe that there is always a way out..a brighter day on the horizon.

yes, always a way out...we just have to find that way.

Your exquisite & mystical poem brings to mind how some start every day by plugging into the clamor of grievance -- the equivalent of waking to darkness & more darkness -- throwing away whole days before they've had a chance to begin. Some people dwell in the darkness before dawn (damn! I might need to write a poem but I haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet!) . . . happy new year! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
