"as I pluck
the sorrow
from your breast
and lay it to rest."
So often, when someone we truly care for is in pain, we so want this to happen. Amazing poetry, as usual.
Touching and sentimental, perhaps a bit sad and introspective. This poem gives the feeling of someone reaching out to another in need. Is it hardened by the resolve of what cannot be? There's so much trepidation in the world as of late. As for myself, apart from wearing a mask to do my shopping and wiping down my groceries...not much of my life has changed. It's no great inconvenience to me...just a thing to be endured until it passes. And I'm as patient as an oyster. I'm too old to rush and too experienced to become desperate. I believe, as Thoreau, that it is not a characteristic of wisdom to do desperate things.

Hello Jacob. Honest, deep and powerful words shared.
"my blond wisdom,
you know me better than i
your gentle spirit
finds my eyes misting"
I loved the above lines. I wanted to know more and thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Sadness permeates this write with intense emotions. We must find empathy to embrace others and wish them the best in their struggles. You impress on us the bluish, sad reality sir Jacob...

This feels so love inspired as the protagonist rues that they and their love interest are not together. But it seems she reveres him and he wishes so much to be there to ease her sorrows. As always packed with intrigue and emotion Jacob.
