Threatening

Threatening

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Threatening

when the storm excites

benevolence is an archaic blues

wind damage scars our aliveness

but leaves us breathing

in raspy, grateful wisps of magic

hunker down,

life is coming.

Indeed life can be a stormy affair and this one ends on a hopeful note. Filled with your usual metaphor magic Jacob!

thank you, John,
j.
Yes, life can certainly be a storm ... black nights ... grey days ... buckets of tears ... and then the skies turn menacing.

Buckle up ... wear a slicker and galoshes. ;>}

got 'em, Ted....

I am ready.

It's odd isn't it, how brushes with danger make us feel so alive.
Suppose that's why there are so many thrill seekers.
