the old bells of the carriage

the old bells of the carriage

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the old bells of the carriage

catch the dawn

in early hands

ring fingers knuckle down

grasp the dew

in unexpected key

poems rise.

I have read this one several times Jacob. For me I relate it to the early rising poet, fresh on the keys is likely to catch the dawn of poetry. A bit of a mystery this one is to me.

This is a most intriguing premise, Jacob. I may be out with my interpretation here, but it speaks to me of the early poet catching the word.
