one-woman band

one-woman band

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

one-woman band

your finely tuned guitar

six strings and smile in your voice

love letters from up North

the scent of your lyrics

the ink splattered sound of tears

pages rustle

like October leaves

you strum my memory

every day

that guitar only plays

in my heart.

I saw october leaves before I even got to that line. There's always emotion throughout your poems and this is no exception. Great poem, J.
