![]() petals to flakesA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
the
creek beds are chilling autumn's warning the waters will soon
become inert in a frozen garden of
landscape hearts will chill as
well without another to
cradle to warm a baby's breath will
expire for the season and the stiff stems of
grief will shiver in the raw
wind i will love you no
matter our bed will feel the
blanket of intoxication as we imbibe each
other's closeness and let the frosted
window take in the harsh view while the logs crackle and our lips touch
softly the waters will stay
fluid in our world, and the landscape
between us is the only one that
will matter our temperate climate shall grow Roses in the
snow. erin--cilberto 9/8/19 © 2019 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
