can we trust the print

can we trust the print

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

can we trust the print

cobwebs between the binders

enclosing love

pages of unmeant tenders

as her heart begins to rove

he will dust off the cover

of a title once discarded

read this other

with eyes more guarded

Believe none of what you hear
and only half of what you see...

Can we trust the print?
Doubtful.

thank you for your insight, Ted.

saw the title and had to read this one jacob ... and you fooled me good :) fake news and lovers' lies .. both to be highly guarded against .. really appreciate the dusting off of titles cast aside .. a lesson to all of us not to judge our ideas and inspirations to harshly .. once tucked away and left behind .. suddenly rediscovered .. we find our muse has not forsaken us after all ...

It's always the harm done by one that inhibits the free-flow of love to another. It's a shame that we have to be on guard when hurt, disallowing ourselves the open heart rightfully deserved by another.
