grins to richesA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
the
palace of you defamed crown diamond studded throne i am the beggar asking simply for a
touch a brush of lips against
an indigent cheek the only handout
presumed i am on the steps trying to get close to
your heart are you willing to give
love to a commoner? i don't want to steal
your diamonds or your crown, just a bit of your heart even if i have to pilfer with my oh so poor
smile... erin-cilberto 9/4/19 © 2019 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
