Radio Head

Radio Head

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Radio Head

digressing,

to an abomination

of loveless abyss

you looked into me

and what stared back at you

fractured your love bones

and now, splintered remnants

are all that are left to love me back

a few old songs

and some foot tapping

as your thoughts of me

drift into dead air.

So sad when a promising relationship full of hope disintegrates to a state of abomination. That is intense dislike, hate even, if you are talking about fractured bones. When it reaches that level there is no going back. Radio Head, is that the reminder, the songs and the foot tapping? All relationships seem to have their own songs of happier times.

Wow, what tragedy , what poetry, a great choice of music, what became of the broken hearted, they picked up a pen

So a relationship can be a hollow sham of waiting in hope, in mope of recovery or in hope of an end...A need and powerful capture of the dying embers of love.

thank you for your kind review, Jibey,

When love passes the event horizon and you get to peer into the black loveless hole and see glass eyed glare in response, just before you are spaghetti fired, what else would you see but fractured love bones?
No static, just dead air, as you breathe your last, thanks to yet another soul sucking harried, who would be no doubt smiling back at the thought of stealing the last breath from your lungs.
I do hope my review doesn't in any way express my own disgust at having been treated so shabbily from the soul sucking charlatans who have had cameos of varying degrees in my life. Or women as they are more commonly known. I'm not bitter, honest. I'm just going to find an empty field to scream into 😀
Your description ending in dead air is very apt for this topic Jacob, ending like a silent scream.

How do two people head over heels in love end up nearly hating each other? It is a phenomenon I will never understand. Once the love has vanished, there is no going back to what once was. Lydi**

dear Jacob... as a Gardner... at times I snip off
spent flowers... however if a flower is a perennial,
it may bloom again perhaps a new never before bud
of desire may catch your eye... love is a feeling that
can be discovered on a rainy day or in a field of wild flowers
where horses graze... truly, Pat

I love this one, I wish I could say more. I relate to it too much to talk too much about why.

How we still have ghosts of those we have loved and lost and wonder even though we know, suspect they give us no thought. You convey the emptiness of that feeling as you miss someone and lose contact with them and still wonder. Is Radio Head a reference to the group from Oxford, England?
