We fill oceans with our tears Jacob.... and while I loved UFO's comment, I don't think we will ever have enough paper towels....

get out the Bounty...thank you, Curt...

Man... don't make me come over there with a roll of paper towels. I'm not into mopping up sorrow filled causeways filled with tear leakage. If there IS a reason, it had better be a good one. :p

thanks for your words, and the smile, UFO...

they may not be obvious, but there's at least one and often more than one for everything.. absolutely everything... I sense a certain sadness here borne of that very same realization maybe..

not a problem
When the sluice gates open, salty tears will readily flow down the causeway on their way to the sea.

Beautifully written description of sadness...no matter the cause.

a good one, j.

thank you for your kind words, Ted,

Those reasons that annoyingly fail to follow the script and diminish over time. If only we could delete those memories, life may make more sense, but perhaps that would diminish something more, the reasons that we create our emotions in the first place.
Deleting pain would delete poetry too.
Maybe there is something to be said for this shambles our mind has to make sense of after all.
Perfectly captured Jacob. More than the sum of its parts, your words linger.

yes, i think there is, Lorry...
thank you for your words,
j.
Such imagery here. You are showing me sluice gates that I see regularly on the river and dams which are appropriate over here at the moment. A deluge of water, a deluge of sorrow. There are tears here a plenty Jacob.
