With apologies to MendelssohnA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoWith apologies to
Mendelssohn inciting a heart to riot kissing the signs
walking in lines cheeks blush with
rebellion standing skin to skin voices heard, in unison as one men in blue witness judge accedes shots ring out they falter as bullets of mistrust penetrate and love bleeds neither side knowing who
started it neither side cares they are divorced of
feelings the cause diminished the signs disappear love ceases its march as a nation of two
