to Whom it may Concern

to Whom it may Concern

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

to Whom it may Concern

i am compromised

desensitized,

a glorified poet

sagging themes wrinkled with age

now unread

nearly dead

creative consequence

they all went out the fire door

exited like my inspiration

one last spark

allowed me this write

but i am writing it with no feeling

nothing

nothing

just nothing

grave stone will read,

an "anonymous poet lies here"

just like he did in most of his poems.

believe nothing

nothing

just nothing.

Nothing being the great basis for emergance! Rising out the ashes as the common cliche would say and yet, this cliche will persist. Nice write j.

This is a brilliant depiction of the dichotomy of writing . . . my words create a little spark for a moment, but too soon lost & forgotten, by all, including me! I think this bothers most writers becuz they harbor a secret desire to be more widely known. I honestly don't care if I'm forgotten. My life is so boring, I often forget about me, too! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

I do understand these words. I have been studying poets for many years. Many become forgotten. I wonder often. Will my words outlast me? Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.

thank you, leticia,

I think you are really "something"... the way you
rant and rave about love... when all along you
remember the treat of an ice-cream treat shared
with two straws on a summer day... a walk along a
sandy shore with the one you most adore...
Your Epitaph will read... He knew when to hold on
and when to let go... he knew when to say hello and
when to say goodbye. He knew all the rules and obey'd a few.
Life is "long" if you stop and whistle a new tune. Who knew...
As ever, Pat

Though you may be a dying poet, your words bring a spark of one last ember burning bright, such words hit home as many sparks have gone to burn among the coals for me. Often loosing them in the night sky.Sparks leaving into the night ;-] Wonderful write.
