Shore Life

Shore Life

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Shore Life

sand crabs

snapping quips

lover's snippets

arousal backwards crawling

passion nears the water

an ocean breeze

so suggestive

tingling within the shell

they blink

she nears

they touch salted youth

and then the moment

is over,

and they just

sit immobile again

waiting for the

next scent to

move their curiosity.

wow my friend! what a metaphor! it's about life, the ups and downs, the will to continue living no matter what, Your last verse is about re-brith, at first what came to my mind is "reincarnation" because what I read is not "scent" but "shore" and who knows why I did that?
