helium angels

helium angels

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

helium angels

falling upward

you caught my floating heart

punctured it,

i crash landed,

survived

but with mass injuries

praying for the guts to fly again.

With time and a little more ballast, you should be ready to go.

Simple, but so true master j. "cavendum decidentes excelsis" - beware of falling from high places.

I think of the balloons reading this, hearts are like balloons, they are fragile but still they can be strong to dream and fly.

Love this very descriptive write “Falling Upwards you caught my floating heart, the imagery is amazing! So sad the heartbreak that follows and hopefully time heals all wounds and you will learn to let your heart soar again.

Quite enjoyed this one! Captures love and heartbreak in so brief a span and the execution is brilliant! Well done!

Poets are notorious for being lovers of many. A little duct tape...eh! Good as new, now get back in there, cowboy, somebody's lookin' for ya....

i don't know about that, but maybe...thank you, Carol...

This one reminded me of Helium by Sia. I suppose a little part of us never stops believing that there might be a chance to love again, regardless of the past heartaches, or perhaps humans are just made to be accident prone or something.

the idea of falling upward appeals to me no end.. I also admire the individual who perseveres or never gives up regardless of the hurt, knocks or damage sustained as a consequence of his or her previous falls and mistakes... N.

pleasure..
I love the images this one creates, one thinks of the Chinese wish lanterns, or hot air balloons, survivors tend to lose their nerve after a hard crash, one we are all familiar with eventually.
