A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

i can't help it, it's the genre

metaphorically speaking,

i love you.

figuratively speaking

i dance in your moonlight

literally speaking

your touch is on my bucket list

silently speaking

i hope you notice me

because i love you

metaphorically, figuratively, literally

and silently.

Love that figurative part the most. The ways we find to express love... this one really speaks to me, Jacob. Nicely penned.

Love can be expressed in so many ways, and you have certainly done it beautifully in this poem

Deviation is good...figuratively speaking.
Writing outside the bounds almost feels like colouring outside the lines...can be a bit messy, but still puts colour on the page.

Good one, j.

Your writing is extra-popping lately! This one is so thought-provoking, I can't capture all the ways I can relate. I wonder how many people are harboring secret crushes that play out similar to this? I think most of us are doing exactly this *sigh!* Fondly, Margie

Another flowing piece on unrequited love declared in a punchy, clever and most readable verse Jacob.

This reads two ways the love of poetry and the love of someone special, the genre indeed.

This poem is clever Jacob, also different from your usual style. It has great appeal on an emotional level, has warmth, imagery and brevity which says a great deal. Great work.
