frozen tenderness

frozen tenderness

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

frozen tenderness

flying without wings

walking without feet

holding you with no hands

loving you with no heart

i soar until the crash landing

i warn my passenger without a voice

gaze at your beauty without eyes

loving you with no heart

flinch at your touch

with no feeling to my skin

loving you with no heart

i am completely engaged

loving you with no heart

one that is beating frantically

to solve the equation that is you

with no variables

and no heart.

This I understand
very well not showing
the hearts feelings...

Blindfolded
with a clear conscience
And walls up being aware
to not get hurt again.

When there's no room
for any love in their heart
it leaves a place for hatred
And seems crowded and
pushes love aside and they
become cold and heartless..

Such a sad way to
be without a kind
loving heart.

Thank You for sharing.

Oh I accidentally
deleted your review
on my poem Aphrodisiac
like a dummy lol...
not meaning to my
friend I do apologize.

You're welcome and thank you for
your kind response 😊
How the ice queen image comes to mind or the black widow, merciless and without passion for others.

Ditto Jacob Ditto!
Show me a heart that beats without love and I'll probably say that that person is not of this world and without faith. Hate can invariably take hold of the being and will create a person with a vacant mind in my estimation. Love is the basis of our existence - in all accounts I'd say love makes the world a better place. Many might not agree here but that's my slant on this fantastic piece.

I seek your words of wisdom. Thank you! Have a great week end!
People who have suffered much damage in relationships are more likely to hold back for fear of getting hurt. That is wise in my opinion. There's that saying 'only fools rush in'. "I soar until the crash landing' tells me you are anticipating a disaster. 'Loving you with no heart' is understandable. Slow thaw comes to mind. There are positives too. So much is said here in a short poem. Great work Jacob.

There seems to be a dearth of organs in this relationship. The impression that comes across is that the speaker has conflicted feelings about the other person. Many "lacks" are mentioned, but "with no heart'' is repeated several times. And yet there are indications there are exciting qualities in the other, too. Overall, I would say there is an inner voice saying "be careful." My advice is to heed it.
