napkins and lovers' smilesA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
you
smiled into my coffee in embarrassment, it
spilled to the saucer and in saucy
repartee you wiped my chin with
your grin when i asked for second
cup you poured your heart
into mine and i never needed to
add a bit of sugar the sweet darkness in
your soul warmed my insides until
i was brimming over with love, but then to my chagrin, we were over with love & you were no longer
there with your grin, erin-cilberto 6/30/19 © 2019 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
