until the next negotiationA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
errant
touch, accidental entreaty a wisp of
sensitivity she's so close he can feel her
heartbeat in his tongues swim in aloof
arbitration but no settlement ensues they just agree on
principle and then roll over with
apt appreciation until morning's contract has them going separate
ways. erin-cilberto 2/21/19 © 2019 jacob erin-cilberto |
