Ah, but for a taste of that sweet ambrosia, never forgotten. I am wondering if this is your or her heart that bricks and mortar now protect, from even looking at the menu to see what is on offer.
I too, am not a desserts fan, much prefer a quick bite than a banquet, but that's just my own laziness :)

Brick wall disclosures. Unpalatable. Desserts definitely off the menu. I would imagine the main course took a bit of processing as well. Clever write Jacob.

I don't know if you've been to Gee's page and read his poem "Popularity Before Honesty." As an English prof, your thoughts would be valuable. There is quite a dicussion going on . . .an important one I believe.

I must admit to feeling a vortex upon reading this poem. I don't sense that things worked out well for the persons in this poem!!!! That 2nd stanza is truly clever.
