A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

at sunset

went phishing on the internet river
caught a can of spammed emotion
and three passwords from virus-ed hearts
but threw them all back
and shut down my covert reeling
for the day
hoping the lure wasn't infected.

the keys to one's heart are now password protected. if we can get into one's online presence then that can be more revealing than anything in understanding who someone is. clever little piece here that is well suited to our times.

thank you, Ana,
j.
You have captured for me the dilemma for us 'oldies' in using the internet. We are not savvy enough nor confident enough yet we still jump in the pool. This is another 'tight' piece to make the reader think as it relates to most of us these days.

thank you for your words, John,
j.
And why did you have to go phishing more so in the internet? But I am sure your lure wasnt infected cos if it did, this poem would be somewhat different
