invading bloom

invading bloom

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

 invading bloom

brazen flower

ignores the frost,

like some who accost

regardless of wind chilled smiles

that sour.

dear Jacob... pansies are famous for surviving under leaves of kindness... that would be me.
Blankets of warmth against the chill make us feel comfy and loved, and a teakettle whistling is tempting to share when cold winds blow and endeavor to freeze our toes. Much is to be said about sunshine and a sip of wine. I love a rhyme in time. truly, Pat

You are warmly welcome Jacob...
A rhyme slipped in there somewhere!

Short and stark with a defiant feel and powerful in its painted image. There were snowdrops in our garden during our worst weather and a few other bedding plants resisting the depth of the chill.

An allegory for someone who endures and still feels they are in there fighting?

Good to be out of character at times 'Teach', is it not?
You have words with a way.
Powerfully stated!
