north wind

north wind

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

north wind

deep freeze wailing

sub zero moans

in blue passion waves

that stall, and still

and chill what was once

a fabled flow of fractured love

now an immovable force

fending off the boredom

the ennui

of prologues

better left unexpressed

the pages blank

as the feelings typed

with fingers of a frostbitten heart.

Wind chills we haven't felt in a lifetime. What we need is global warming to thaw that frostbite of the heart.

A good write, j.
