splintered connections

splintered connections

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

splintered connections

i have become technical data

a confluence of intermediate terminals

endings of scarcely seen emotions

wisdom in the tip of a finger

but brain-dead knuckles no longer clenched

fighting the inevitable virus

is over

i have found my circuits

in permanent sleep mode

as is now my heart.

Time to switch back to analog, and leave digital behind.
A scratched lp might hold your true meaning,
while a fresh cd loses a bit in the rendering.
Our best words,
we don't notice,
while still searching for that perfect one

Part of the reason to continue the story.

Sometimes we feel disconnected, frayed -- love and life -- never easy.

I hope it is the sweetest dream you ever remembered....sitting at your typewriter, deep in thought ...having laid out your greatest works in abundant stacks ....her fingers gently combing through the back of your hair as she whispers something in your ear...dazzles you with a bright smile and passionate eyes.

Jacob, with the right algorithms programmed into the system we can prescribe the mood that suits you best so that your head and heart can take a vacation :)

that was a lousy review probably but for some reason it made me think of the hopelessness we face sometimes because as much as we think we are in control we are never fully. too many external factors.
