Apparently, the infinite whole (or hole) takes over.
All of us, at some time, lose focus; you're one of those rare poets who can actually record the physics of that loss.
In other words, Jacob, you have given this reader a genuine Eureka Moment!
love it jacob ... oh the humor in sarcasm and life ..especially am imprinted by the closing verse .. oh those elusive conclusions ... the implosion of them have taught me life without the need to know ;} really enjoyed the read and thoughts ..wrapped in your unique and familiar style

Time is in charge of it all and we need to remember that so we can enjoy every second we are given with a person who means a lot to us. But then that last stanza....the theme of trust....hmmm...that threw me off. Does trust have an expiration date? Something to think about. Jacob, your poetry always includes wonderful metaphors and is thought provoking. Lydi**

It speaks to me of moving on and letting go. Something that some of us do more frequently than others because we haven't found a permanent resting place, or person, yet.

Love is definitely meted out in finite fragments. As is life. Sadly ( or maybe not really ) we never know how much our allotment is or how long it will last. Making the most of each, is all we can do. Nicely scribed, Jacob.
