ambushA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
the trees imposed
silence shedding inevitable they proudly wore final
cloaks of many colors they knew death would
come but most sought the
dreams of spring when they might reenter
life and green would be not
of envy but of a summer of understanding and waiting until the cycle would repeat and silence prevailed over the din of leaves
leaving. erin-cilberto 8/23/18 © 2018 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
