This is one of the most alluringly playful romantic writes I've ever seen from you! I love it! The tangle of autumn, tea, & longing is purely delicious! "Imminent autumn" wins the best phrase award for the month! You paint a tantalizing scene (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
yeah, this is great - I can feel the heart get heavier as it sinks to the bottom on a steaming brew. I like the brevity of this one, it speaks volumes. It has a feel the finality should have arrived a long time ago - but - someone is simply refusing to let go X
I really enjoy this poem. I feel like autumn is such a season for couples. They always cuddle up under large blanket scarves by the pond sharing a thermos. A lonely autumn feels even more lonely.

In spite of all the beautiful words written about the other three seasons, Autumn has a magic that conjurs up a mass of conflicting emotions that seem to stimulate thoughts and dream.s Your play with 'leaves' and 'tea' suggests both dryness and refreshment. Beautifully laid words, j., patience both suffered and learned on the wings of time. Perhaps?
Visions of the future can be found in tea leaves at the bottom of a cup, so I'm told. Lonely can go on too long but love can always be found on a crisp Fall day.
Autumn is coming my friend. Be prepared.
Good write j.

Your poems are so f*****g lovely. I enjoyed this one alot. The way you described loneliness as a cup of tea,
Is a cup of me...
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing Jacob 😊
Stay golden my friend.

Splendid write Jacob, sad but sweet , displayed with perfection. The comparisons of tea and loves gone by was clever as anyone would know who loves tea or coffee, a good cuppa never lasts. One of my favourites of yours.
