we sounded so good, onceA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertowe sounded so good, once almost every old song is a film clip in my
mind of you, times enchanted, lover's embrace in the
grooves the diamond stylus touches the vinyl even though the ring
never reached your finger delusions, intrusions and evolutions all
happened in sparse synapses of
love and memories space
themselves out in an array of intricately laced
conceptions... daily records play of
you and me, and that summer solstice we shared as the patterns of past crisscross with dreams that had inception,
perception then interception with timing's misfortune and our hearts' tunes still playing of us on
that old radio sounding as it did
yesterday even though today is decades later--- erin-cilberto 8/5/18 © 2018 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
