I was captivated by the title so I just had to check it out. Reading the poem made me think of nostalgic songs that remind me of my first love. I like the objects in the poem that are associated with older generations. The object also have a way of capturing moments and memories and I really like the strategic play there. They definitely help set the nostalgic feel. I am even playing Kiss Me by Sixpence None the RIcher as we speak bringing back all those films clips. I even got inspiration for my next poem in my LA series.
Hi Jacob,
I really enjoyed this poem. Overall, a great nostalgic piece that reminds me of lost loves most of us are familiar with at some point in our lives. I look forward to reading some more of your works!
Best,

Like listening to love songs on the radio and reminiscing ..what was or could have been..sometimes it seems just Like yesterday even though its decades later..a sweet love song plays on in memory....nice
This reminds me of the crackles that one hears when playing records on an old record player. The vinyl grooves cause the stylus to move or vibrate, which, in turn, produces a tiny electrical signal that is amplified and turned into sound by the speakers. Love amplifies and magnifies and slows to a quiet stop. The echo chamber of the heart retains it all. Lovely, as always.

dear Jacob... the 50's were a time etched in our heart...
of "times enchanted by a lover's embrace in the grooves
the diamond stylus touches the vinyl, even though the ring
never reached your finger." Your entire poem is encased n a
capsule of wonderment and romance. truly, Pat
I enjoyed the scattered rhyme in this one. It's true, the old songs are not just songs...they are slices of our lives. A few notes and we are magically transported back to THEN...and to the people we were with. Do we remember accurately? Who's to say? I liked this one a lot. Lydi**

Oh how beautiful- wish you two could have it back again- my pleasure🌹
Those old songs can certainly trigger the memories, some good and some not so good, but all part of who we were. Those old loves , with or without rings, still resonate like old vinyl with all the clicks and snaps
and skips echoing through time.
