I like the descriptions in this one. Very vivid in my mind. One moment's thoughts covey a thousand similar moments of regret that we just now think of.
a lasting snap shot: absence makes the heart grow fonder. I like that this short poem can stand as a screen shot zoomed in on someone's morning, and also a metaphor for not softening the heart when we had the chance; forgetting relationships and life are temporal after all.
Hell, yeah. this has the ring of utter reality in the simplest of terms. I love writing like this takes hold of the mundane and turns it into art. You are the real deal, but I am sure that I am not the first to have told you that. Great Writing.
