I didn't dance but ran out of my adolescence . Today I was thinking that if i had a bigger house or some money saved, i wouldn't need the transistor radio with the faded C batteries in my garage. That love songs on one of those thousand dollar component systems would be so urgently stimulative that desire would rush back beyond any other tendencies to consolidate my tenderness. This is what happens when your left alone for too long...lol. You discover your dependability on your youth, if for no other reason, than of a paper trail that bounds us to reason. Great ideas here my friend.....dana

Aloha Jacob, I love the title of this, honestly it conjured something quite different but what I came upon is something that feels so passionate. It has a groove about it that I really enjoyed. I vaguely remember the transistor radio my pops had one, I also remember listening to Casey Kasem (the weekly top 40) as a little girl, listening to the radio has such great memories.

Transistor radios...I remember them well and how guys would have the ear phones in with the radio hidden in a shirt pocket. Teachers always found them though. The radio was such a big part of our adolescence and young adulthood. "Paradise by the dashboard lights" comes to mind. Those were the days. Lydi**
I loved the transistor years...not that I would want to relive the pain of growth in them...put the fiery passion of youthfulness....the thought that you can beat all odds. Your memories...they remind me that I can still smile.

Wow Jacob, you have taken me back to my late teens. Courting the heat on the back seat of an old banger. Your second stanza, superb word choice and the imagery sharp to say the least. I bet not much courting is done in cars these days. Well written.
