A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Ghost Writer

i tap your keys

but you don't write me letters

and my fingers bleed with regret

that i didn't learn to type you,

love

sooner

you might still be on my screen

not some faded image

that never comes back

no matter how many times

i hit

restart.

Strikes me as some rather dark--and successful--humor.
Stunningly apt metaphors!

thank you, Jimmy.

this gives me the feeling of a haunting muse, bringing memories from the past and whispering them to Your ear, memories that are gone, but still lingering in, stuck, waiting for words to write them down.
