This strikes me as an innocent infatuation turned meaningful affection. Harvested in the subconscious, who knows how high these thoughts have bloomed in memory? Very simple and sweet. "Easy like Sunday morning," sort of vibe. The golden rule; Loving complication-free. This piece made me reflect on my childhood and that first childhood crush. When we're younger, love is this easy thing that gives foundation for many layers. This was some excellent writing. Caused such nostalgia for me. We all should treasure such memories. Great read.

it striking how many of the things we learn about love, we learned before junior high. Many of these things learned are simply over calculated. Analytics and love rarely add up, but the sum of a touch is not an imaginary number.
Your poem conveys a tantalizing mix of childhood crush and haunting longing later on in life. If only those later-on meetings held the same intense rapture! *ahhh!* Thanks for transporting me back to a sweet simplicity (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
