This was delicate and song-like. I feel very appreciative of this message. I wish we were all so soul-bearing as this. The smallest reasons are often play a huge part of love. The subtle specifics that makes it worthwhile and terrific. Also, it's something about the eyes. The speaker knows truth when staring in those transparent windows that spell everything so important so clear, right there. I thought this was very beautiful and metaphoric. This piece is beyond beauty. Great read.

I am stuck for words to adequately describe how great and otherwise beautiful these words of yours are, or to express my appreciation to you for posting..... Neville
Perfect title for a tender, sweet poem. “beautiful ennui”-“the cumbersome tedious nothings” - the fabric of love that holds it all together, despite the obstacles. Beautifully constructed verses with soaring metaphor and wordage. Organic, flowing so naturally..”transparency that I can believe”- so true and profound j. Love this.

you’re welcome jacob, keep meaning to tell you that i love your current status
This is a climb in your lap and snuggle into your love kinda piece...the one that feels like decades of assurance. I like the years together and I love the little details!
Foundations may not be the most interesting part of a structure, but they are the most important. Without them the exterior beauty and embellishments are fragile.
Familiarity may be commonplace, but at least it's predictable.
Plenty of food for thought in this piece, Jacob.

you are so right, Norman...
thank you for your words,

Especially as a relationship grows long, it becomes even more about the details I think. We become accustomed to even the annoying ones and take them as gospel and would miss them dearly were they to disappear. Tender and observant, I enjoyed this.
