passion's palette

passion's palette

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

passion's palette

supposition

with no opposition

leads to collision of circumstances

and collusion of love's dances

with the fenders slightly scarred but moving

wrecks that can still dent the floor

with their blues shoes

combining colors

into purple escapade...

The palette of passion reminds me of a variety of colors. The colors were a great example of the opposition faced in this piece. If one person danced on top of the wreckage with blue shoes, then they weren't alone in creating purple escapades. This other person danced with red soles. Sometimes, people can project something so admirable, such as purple, though many may not know of the wreckage that lie beneath the surface, blue and red, that was apart of the relationship process. Solid piece. Great read.

Even if a painting in the mind, I see two lovers... limbs twisting and turning into each other, shoe souls striking wood floors, leaving trails of where love once danced and left its marks, even if later viewed as scuffs. We collide and leave marks on the heart. Another enjoyable read, J.

dear Jacob... this smacks of summer lust that begins in spring when flutters of butterflies sip nectar and kiss the dew in the meadow... truly, Pat

wrecks that can still dent the floor with their blue shoes

Believing that it's not too late, there is still a glimmer of hope, when in fact there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the dance floor.

Multi layered, that's what I felt Jacob.

My friend Jacob. You made the word twist to perfect places and make them wander off to better places. Each sentence added to the dance and to the possibilities of wreckage. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome Jacob.
when there is collisions on the dance floor, colors go all over the place... as do arms legs and other body parts tangled up in tango circumstances... though I always loved when things slowed down and bodies got close enough to feel those smooth fenders... er… what, every time I hear about purple escapades, I remember her red hair and paisley shaded legs... sorry Jacob, you took me back to college dances....
