prayer books and diplomasA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoprayer books and
diplomas you
were my sensuous Alma mater schooled me in matters
intended for confessional
repercussion i gladly sinned in your
classroom repeated courses knelt by the desk to be
absolved prayed for one more
close call at midnight grounding seemed
insignificant you were the only
lesson i cared to study and when graduation came my cap and gown
disheveled my smile still slightly
perplexed but my heart proud of
its degree. erin-cilberto 5/1/18 © 2018 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
