When those words start to flow, the urgency of trying to get them down on paper, wherever you are, whatever the time. Desperate not to lose them in the night, and to wake up in the morning and they've gone. Whether scribbling or tapping away on a tablet watching that white sheet darken. I am left thinking how many poems have died with me, I know the number that have survived, however there have been many deaths. Crazy fingers yes, and crazy muses too.

I'm reading Oscar Wilde book. "The picture of Dorian Gray". Oscar Wilde left us with quotes and thoughts we shall never forget.
"making a name
that will forever
echo madness."
Us, who love to write. Our words and our madness. We want to leave something behind. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

The language is amazing. Oscar Wilde could write. I will try to find.
Sometimes it seems the older we get the harder it is to hang onto thoughts. I like to say my mind is like a computer, when the memory is full a few bytes have to go to make room for more.
But it's more like when the train of thought leaves the station I'm still standing on the platform watching it go.
Good one j.
