A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

poetry ice dances within her

tragic avalanche

the buried lies of love

and you,

smiling from beneath your white sheet

drained of heart

only the frozen tundra is left

from what you were when i met you

saw a picture

recent expression

and wrote a few words

trying to warm you up

but the frostbite had set in

and your heart was too far gone

to save.

People change and that is the sad truth especially to us who remain the same...

Honest, true and wonderful words shared my friend. When a woman decide. She is done. Man must release and escape. Can't raise the dead or a pissed-off woman. Thank you Jacob for sharing the outstanding poetry.

You are welcome Jacob. I enjoyed this poem.
The cold hearted are on a different level. There is this fantasy that we can warm them and turn them into humans with real emotions, but it is a fallacy that we learn over and over. They're usually pretty good at math. CD

Hey, my pleasure......
Ice maiden from the past, haunting you. You still want to melt the ice in her heart, but whatever heat and warmth that you once shared, is no longer there. I am detecting some emotional negativity, an element of bitterness maybe from what happened between you. Great poetry and the coldness, comes across very well.
