The dryness and subtlety of being forgetfulness can't be described but with the few but cunning words that were put together in this poem. Loved it!

You have the ability of knowing where to put words to and for the best effect! How you manage to 'say' so much within the senryu form and have it compact and meaningful - makes me feel like giving up on words! The sadness of those words are, also, too near to the truth -as happens with artists too. They become beautiful and worthy when people have weighed their value and realise how it's missed. Brilliantly created, jacob!

(Brevity certainly isn't my strongest genre!)

Great little poem, Jacob. Little pieces of memories from a lost loved one, a lost love, scorned lover. I Aftermath, leads me to think about a painful breakup that's never fully resolved. Burn the pictures and left clothes but the memories are always there....anyway's, just the thoughts your poem put in my head.

what an expressive powerful choice of words.. the recognition of the poet does not matter on the greatness but the worth as a person. good and nice writing my friend.

you are welcome
Title is jolting and compelling. Perfect, stark, noir senryu. Consummate use of metaphor. “Aftermath of you”-ultimate indictment. Murder by apathy. Futile epitaph. Brilliant.

Always love your writes J. Makes me think that our writing are like pre-spreading our ashes before death, so we live everywhere and live again each time someone new reads our pieces.
