the nonsensical logic of beingA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertothe nonsensical logic of
being in the
modern mist of Monday mornings, weeks woven of sameness
saturate like a damming rain another seven days of
dictated drear as we traipse against
another adverse year and children plead, homeless need rhetoric rather than
succeed suffices and we go home hungry
for sustenance with acceptance of the morsels tossed in
trivial ranking among our murmurs of
thanking and change hides again
in surreptitious shadows while we coagulate in
coerced communes allowing the days to
deliver a dowry of what we deserve for the inaction repetitious traction in our own catastrophic
conundrum of casual commiseration erin-cilberto 3/25/18 © 2018 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
