too long to ask, too long to accept

too long to ask, too long to accept

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

too long to ask, too long to accept

stagnant goodbyes

left on mossy lips

death from words

unspoken,

actions cause love to commit suicide

by inaction

delicious hate becomes the entree

we perpetuate the longing to exit

and finally set fire to the dance

steps of retreat,

a beat of sorts

one long waltz

and done.

Is it kind of like the Samba? I don't want to do that dance, Jacob. This is pretty dark, but almost every ending is that way, right? A darkness before the light. Done, but new beginning. Great words man! CD

I truly believe feelings die due to lack of admission. Hate follows naturally. The dance is ruined. Appreciated so much.
