rain from the eyes

rain from the eyes

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

rain from the eyes

tearful kisses

cheeks of swollen gold

riches lost in good byes

our sentence punctuated

perjury of faith in each other

a jury of lies

the verdict was in before we met

tearful kisses

inevitable that lips depart

keeping silent words forming

as we turn away

from the courting

and introduce ourselves

to a life of solitary confinement

of fool's gold retrospect

misjudgement

years alone.

Oh dear not a nice place to be or experience- I don’t think it’s always misjudgement I think people sometimes pretend to be someone they aren’t and when the truth is revealed then it’s best that you go your own ways as if two peoples moral values are not as one things can never work- truelive understanding unity seems to be if found a miracle and a dream come true- emotional and true words and feelings expressed here- hugs and blessings🌹

Always a pleasure🌹
Profoundly melancholy.
A heart-breaker exquisitely conveyed.
Haunting.

it is the silent words that hurt, thoughts unspoken , maybe they would mend or maybe they would injure even more?
there is a point where we (some of us) say "enough is enough, it just isn't worth the pain"
There is a lot of peace in solitude .... i promise .

Very Good, well written, a great use of legal jargon, sounds as though a bitter broken relationship, I quite like it, melds well to read, I hope things are on the mend, but from a writing perspective, things are better to write broken, brings out the emotions, paper and pen medication.

I often ponder the fact that as we get older we see things from a different perspective. As a result, we often look back and wish we could have done things differently, knowing that we don't think the same way we used to. But the decision has been made and we are either set free of past pains or locked away with them for many years to come.

When it goes, it is gone. Let there be learning rather than regret, if that is possible. Very sad and moving piece.

We forget how much love means to us until we don't have it.

Years of fritting away a treasure till its totally lost. The value understood fully only after the loss. A poem so profoundly sad...
