autumn's gift

autumn's gift

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

autumn's gift

a philanthropist leaf

giving itself up for the sake

of the ailing tree,

buys time till winter's refund

the bare accounts reserved for audit

of cold cash of delinquent spring

i see your face in the veins

and your voice sighs in an almost summer breeze

even though you will not feel this one,

we will still feel the wealth of you.

Wonderful use of words and thoughts. Polite description, how Winter steal away the days of the fall. The words were magic and kind. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.
