autumn's giftA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
a
philanthropist leaf giving itself up for the
sake of the ailing tree, buys time till winter's
refund the bare accounts
reserved for audit of cold cash of
delinquent spring i see your face in the
veins and your voice sighs in
an almost summer breeze even though you will not
feel this one, we will still feel the
wealth of you. erin-cilberto 3/3/18 © 2018 jacob erin-cilberto |
