an inkling

an inkling

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

an inkling

write me a perpetual letter

don't sign it,

ever

just keep the cursive lines straight,

no lies,

just the truth of love

let me catch the scent of you on the pages

i will fold them neatly

as i fold your feelings

within my heart

i will read you forever

if you write me a perpetual letter

don't sign it,

don't give me conclusion

ever.

You're welcome :)
Oh yes, leave the door open always with a welcoming sign above it ..... home is where the heart is.

dear Jacob... Life and love... can be perpetual... one day flows into the next with beauty blessed... savoring the seasons of love.

There is something indescribably beautiful about things that are left incomplete. About people you've met only once or more but haven't had the chance of establishing a longer relationship with. About stories with open endings. I think it remains beautiful because of the infinite possibilities it leaves us with. About love, life and death. Thanks for a very thought provoking poem Jacob. As always a great write.

I had an inkling I would like it!
I really liked reading that. Everyone is so busy texting, messenger, emails etc. I love handwritten notes or letters and I enjoy writing them. I can read it over and over anytime I want. Its so much more personal!

That's good to hear. Thank you for the welcome!
Theres something personal about reading the handwriting of someone else, after enough handwritten letters, it begins acting in the same way as body language does in face to face communication.

yes, nothing better than a letter. Todays communication is only as good as your phone plan. nothing better than a love note you can tuck away in your heart.
