Chance

Chance

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Chance

the shapes of hearts to come
V-neck sweaters, and perfumed enticement
rallying against intrusion

the scent of libation
drinking in the correlation
of love and touch and such

yielding in some small way
allowance,
lingering movement towards

we find each other within the crimson sun
of yesterday's tomorrow
a perfect cut
intimate perfection

breached in continuity
once the walls of trepidation
fall away.

When the walls break down, anything is possible and a real relationship can start. Still thinking about "Yesterday's tomorrow"....love that concept. Good one. Lydi**

‘Thoughts In Time’🌹

Only a pleasure🌹
We find each other always in yesterday's tomorrow.

"...intimate perfection
breached in continuity
once the walls of trepidation
fall away."

Ain't that the livin' truth!

You'be beautifully described those fleeting moments, when we all have "a chance".....The first line beckons me to think of Sting's song, "Shape of my Heart", which deals with the high-rolling life of a gambling man. Love, and life, is part chance, right? ;)

"A perfect cut of intimate perfection"......those moments truly makes life worth it.

This poem is like a pair of dice, which I'll happily through up into the air....:)

there have been times when i’ve gone places within your poems, sweet stops in the memory, a smile glistening in the sun, a tender hello. all of a sudden they flood back by some internal magic brought about by your cherished talent. thanks Jacob!

regards,
Al

I too like the line mentioned below. The nervousness of the coming night can dry your mouth and swerve you into self-consciousness. Loosening up and dropping your guard is a relief is when the night gets sultry.

How many people that are older (thinking of me) find the whole thought of starting over with a new partner daunting though.

Good one, Jacob.
