I enjoyed this thoroughly. Mathematics used as a metaphor to describe human relaionships and feelings is a very interesting concept and you so skillfully executed it. I loved it. I love it!
did you know Jacob that the square root of love is
P A I N times Pi into infinity and elongated by its proximity to an event horizon... it's where imaginary numbers and negative numbers meet in a supernova of algebraic abstractions... or in other words.... OUCH!!!
I see you are doing those math problems again Jacob... the new math where one plus one = negative infinity... ;0) but your poetry always adds up Jacob...

I enjoyed the algebraic metaphor, Jacob! So often people wondered why I could be an accountant and write poetry too. This poem should have been what I showed them! :) An imaginary number....too often one side of the equation is reduced to that by the other side of the equation! Very good. Lydi**

wonderful algebra ...a delightful read ..even if it is the demise of successful solutions ... could not help but think of my friend Einstein ... who was terrible at math .. had university students work it for him so he could publish his "intuited" solutions ... nice one jacob...enjoyed the read ... fun with numbers tho wreckage enough in the end :(

I find it easier to play with math and logic, rather than toying with the emotions of a relationship. Although, when you combine the two as you have, you can go back and check your work. That way when she brings up the past as a weapon of intent, you can be ready with the answer key.
Nevermind, even when you're right you're wrong. I forgot. Just chalk it up as lost homework.
May your calculator always express 58008 upside down. Thank you for sharing.

This reads as more then the sum of its parts j. Anything less will not do. This adds up to a good write...well worth a calculated risk. Calculus was never my strong suit.
Aaagh- I failed algebra and had to take it over in summer school! I hope I can understand this very clever poem. Great title and metaphor use. Each line perfect and on-point. Again, I don’t know how you create so brilliantly j. In life, as in relationships, it seems that we need love as a common denominator. Negative numbers keave us in a black hole. “ You were a calculated risk”- ah well, aren’t we all?? Superb!
