stalled fronts in the back of my mind

stalled fronts in the back of my mind

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

stalled fronts in the back of my mind

she embodied above average temperature

i, a snowfall in July

yesterday a moon shadow walked beside me

docile weather smile,

she specifically moved my front

then her dazzling eyes stalled by my heart

shelter not an option,

i absorbed her momentum

till it became mine

and then we rose above the atmosphere

like two petals of rain

turning to ice, then severing from the flower

dying of heat exhaustion

in the middle of December.

J., I must admit I need to read your poems several times before I have a clear takeaway (and probably nothing that you intended or anticipated). I like this mental exercise, and it's good for the soul.

Those who have deeply loved will understand your words, and the supernatural forces our most romantic loves have on us, especially if crushed. We draw in, drop our guard, reveal our souls, ascend, and hopefully stay in some elevated, sunny place. But, for others, it's a storm, often too devastating to survive. Sometimes, we experience both, multiple times. :) Thanks for another early morning brain exercise!

"yesterday a moon shadow walked beside me" strong line for me..so delicately haunting .. wonderful use of the metaphor (big surprise ;) i enjoyed the becoming and the dissipating ... like water .. like Bruce Lee said? ...:)

such sensitiveness, such a real high-sense spirit, such clarity of the heart and mind, such ethereal ecstasy... I can write You a page from this one piece, Love,
Love, is all there, in each sentence, dripping soft, no distances can part us, no boundaries, or spaces or worlds, no limits for this Love, it's a love of a heart, a soul and yes a mind too, when this Love becomes even greater to become the "Loving of the universe through You", when You emerge Her from Your desire, create Her in Your mind, bring Her forth, make Her alive, it's the love making between two spirits, it's the ecstasy of two souls breathing as one, rising with the same feeling into glory... though, Your yearning wistful tune, gentle sadness swept through Your poem, but it's the sheer power of real Love...

of course, 200/100 if I could!
