The gauche kid finding his way, and pitfalls, in a "sophisticated" adult world. We've all been there Jacob:-) but I loved the sad observations of something I had mercifully forotten.

This is tragic but comical. If you're not on the same plane, the same level,one can be read as strange or weird sadly, just naivety on their part. I can relate to the comedy of errors here, top stuff!
At this disturbingly advanced age, my incessant recollections almost exclusively highlight personal failures, humiliations and near-crimes. Left to my own devices, I rarely seem to boot up anything positive.
Enough about me.
"Little strangers" is smartly done, perceptive, touching and amusing--a piece I like very much.
