scene of a beautiful crime

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

scene of a beautiful crime

forensic fuse
short circuited wisdom,
footprints burned into the heart
lightning cracks the limbs of sense
they fall
i fall

take the rubber gloves off of my emotions
and embrace the electricity of you
till death do me part

ceremonial rites a residue of ashes
i have been shocked back to life.

Whoa! This is a forensic Bride of Frankenstien tale! Clever, great word- play , and definitely Halloween-ish. Second verse super-charged! Love this j.!

It's been said that love covers all sins. Perhaps beauty can intervene on behalf of justice for alleviation of criminality in this case. Visions of the Phoenix here, rising from the ash.

So much turbulence, shock, vulnerability in love, yet we pray for it to stay stay always. An awesome write Mr. Jacob.

Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead! Emotions sometimes need those rubber gloves for protection. We all make silly mistakes for what we think is love. Such a relatable write. Lydi**

This clandestine love affair proved to be exciting and has reignited long lost lust and passion, but just how to keep it under wraps is the problem?

Intriguing and stimulating poetry Jacob, surreptitiously stealth, awakens the curiosity!

Ah how love can feel beautiful despite the pain and anguish and the little death as the blood flow returns! Mesmerised as to your ability with metaphors still Jacob.
