A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

still life loony tunes

spastic inclinations
trampoline reactions
the kiss, expressive impact
of you dancing within me

fifty years lying in state
memory just as alive
as then
heart still bouncing in dazed delight

the thought of our exploration
speaking in tongues
an exercise in coming of age

now my mind is in a rubber room of touch
i still feel movement on a floor of osculation
and lose my balance

thanks for the dance.

It's amazing what a tune can do during and well after the dance. Nice one Jacob.

Sensory memory! Wish I had the gray matter for that...I'm good if I remember a name, while unconsciously singing every single word to Highway to Heaven....

love this Jacob, you see the mind is still active and willing, the memories still exhilarating..it's the body that doesn't cope as well haha... never mind the dance lives on beautifully and you paint it well :)

First love remembered and savoured and so unforgettable even after fifty years. The excitement the thrill, the first touch, first kiss and all still as vibrant as then. I don't know how you find so many excellent metaphors with which say your piece Jacob.
