Love is a confusing thing but I feel some how in this poem you got it very right. I loved reading it just as much the second and third times as I did the first. It is a great work. Keep writing. :)
Tender, vulnerable love poem. You take a chance, despite the "weeping prophecies" . "Joy settles in it's nest", "tears climb mountains", "pensive fountains" flow.....and Yay!- " love chooses to stay". LOVE THIS J.!
Last two lines are most meaningful to me.
It has so often been said that, if you love someone, you must be willing to them go--not, God forbid, so they will actually leave--but so they may feel "free to fly" and still choose to stay.
Beautifully put!
Doesn't love always choose to stay...and in some of the strangest places...places where we might least expect to find it. I've found more generosity among the poor than the wealthy for example...perhaps because the poor have known want and hunger. And they seem to be happier with less...which makes one ponder what wealth truly is.
bravo jacob ... love wins one ;) especially enjoy the warmth of "joy settles in its nest" ... like...as it should be ...lovely read of love for me ..in your unique , distinguished style

ps. tears climbing mountains to shout is pretty brilliant ... you keep it real sir!
